In the past few years, Blue Water has experienced growth within aerospace logistics which covers transport of spare parts for aircrafts by air, sea, courier and road. Recently, Blue Water completed the transport of an Airbus EC120 helicopter from Norway to Malaysia by air.
“The project was challenging because it involved many parties. The coordination was a comprehensive task in itself and we were working with tight time slots. These kind of projects often include very valuable cargo and leave are no room for mistakes”, says Jesper Nielsen, Business Development Manager at Blue Water.
Blue Water secured the project through their membership of the TALA network which they joined in 2013.
“The membership gives access to the knowledge and expertise required for aviation transports. Also, it is a guarantee for our clients that we live up to very high standards when handling their cargo. Ultimately, the membership enables us to develop our expertise further”, says Jesper Nielsen.
Blue Water’s “control tower” for aviation transport in Scandinavia is located in Copenhagen. The role of the control tower is to supervise all aviation shipments and make sure that high standards are upheld in all aspects of the transport.
The AOG desk is also located in Copenhagen, where clients can contact the department for any urgent matters 24/7 365.
