Heavy Lift and Project Forwarding International (HLPFI) – a leading publication reporting on the heavy lift, breakbulk and project cargo sector – has established the Heavy Lift Awards to recognise and reward excellence in complex logistics, transport and engineering projects around the world. The HLPFI’s Heavy Lift Awards are designed to celebrate the many individuals and companies whose vision, innovation and commitment help to shape this vibrant industry. 

The award show was held on October 15th at the Hilton Hotel in Antwerp. The award show was a huge success with more than 360 industry specialists attending. Blue Water was announced as winner in the category – Project Logistics Provider of the Year.

The judges were among other in awe of the level of planning, their training and recruitment programme to the investment in new technology, IT and infrastructure. 

“Excellent global logistics provider that ticks all boxes when it comes to strong customer service global network and tailor-made solutions with technical know-how and a strong track record of past projects. Blue Water has especially demonstrated that it is able to perform large scale projects from different industry verticals such as oil and gas, energy, renewables, constructions and more. In particular one should highlight the creativity and innovative approach on both planning and technical feasibility that Blue Water has demonstrated over many years.”, stated the judges. 

At Blue Water we are all extremely proud of this award and are very happy to be recognised by the industry as Project Logistics Provider of the year. Blue Water will continue to invest in our Energy and Projects division, and we are confident that we can continue to add value to our clients’ projects.  

Blue Water Shipping has for many decades been involved in a wide variety of projects globally. The focus on project logistics has evolved over the years, and today Blue Water is executing more large and challenges projects than ever before. 

These projects are executed with the support from the various international departments and by using the many in-house competences at Blue Water. This includes a large Technical Engineering Department with more than 22 naval architects, constructions managers, port captains, planners and schedulers, an IT department with more than 63 experienced programmers, IT architects and of course a large team of experienced project people.
