The scope of work was to arrange transport of five stone crushers (total volume 455 ton / 614m3) from the manufacturing plant in Svedala to the port of discharge Adelaide, Australia.
“Due to a very tight timeframe, a detailed collection plan had to be thoroughly planned to avoid any waiting time and storage. The minor parts and accessories were delivered to Helsingborg’s port and stuffed in 7×40’ containers for departure via Maersk Line and the major parts of the crushers (378 tons) were delivered to Gothenburg, loaded on Mafi trailers and shipped out on Hoegh Autoliner’s ro/ro vessel. The equipment is expected to arrive in Adelaide end of August and September,” says Anna Hägerstrand, Coordinator on the project at Blue Water Gothenburg.
“The stone crushers are a very important part of Sandvik´s project for the crushing equipment provided to the Cairn Hill magnetite mine plant in South Australia. Blue Water has provided excellent support to Sandvik during the entire transport and logistics process, with continuous involvement starting already from project planning. The support with the documentation has been completely reliable, also the on-transit information has been very detailed and punctual, helping us in making our communication with the customer faster and more effective says Luca Di Filippantonio, Freight and Documentation Coordinator – Plant Solutions, Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology”
