In connection with “Maersk Deliverer’s” yard stay in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Blue Water was chosen to provide logistics services. The success of the project was a result of good planning, specialised Blue Water staff on site and a close dialogue with Maersk.
Utilising the expertise
“Blue Water’s capabilities and expertise were used for worldwide transportation, warehouse management and quayside crane operations. The challenging local conditions were managed superbly and the key personnel on site received full support from Blue Water’s headquarters”, states Juan Antonio Giner, who is the Head of Maersk Drilling Project Procurement.
He also points out that all transportation and warehouse management were conducted by Blue Water with zero incidents.
“Blue Water is truly dedicated providing an end-to-end service with the customer in mind”, says Juan Antonio Giner.
Ready for future projects
The project was completed ahead of schedule and was characterised by good partnership. The two companies have jointly performed on-site inspections and selected the logistics locations.
Looking back, the project has generated many synergies.
“We are very proud to receive recognition for our work from one of the biggest global players in the Oil & Gas industry. With this project we have gained experience valuable for our cooperation with Maersk Drilling as well as for future similar projects. Delivering high quality solutions through our flexible organisation is a trademark for Blue Water”, says Anders Maul, Senior Business Development Manager in Blue Water.
